Cheryl Reeman is a Commercial Real Estate executive who offers decades of industry experience leading multi-faceted transaction management, lease negotiation, budgeting, project management and space planning programs throughout the Americas. During her career, she has held responsibility for more than 19 million square feet of office transactions and projects.
She brings a diverse set of skills to her assignments and has collaborated with diverse user groups to understand and translate both growth and consolidation plans and operational needs into long-term occupancy strategies. She has applied analytical skills to trending, budgeting, forecasting and cost control initiatives, and has been able to optimize viable options in the marketplace; deliver cost effective real estate solutions; and meet corporate expectations that have positively impacted profitability.
Prior to joining JRT, Cheryl enjoyed a career at American International Group (AIG), most recently as the Director of Global Corporate Real Estate – Americas for the multinational Fortune 100 finance and insurance giant. Here, she oversaw a corporate portfolio of more than 80 locations throughout the U.S., Latin and South America and Canada, totaling 2.3 million square feet of leased space – nearly half of the firm’s global portfolio. Her work included the coordination among brokers, attorneys, contractors, and vendors, where she applied stringent project controls to assignments that encompassed market due diligence; business case development; senior management presentations and approval; drafting of lease and sublease documents; transaction negotiations; full execution of final agreements; and lease administration oversight.
She also worked with global real estate teams during the space planning development process. In this capacity, she oversaw more than 1.5 million sf of building restack, reconfiguration and new construction projects and worked with the global Facilities Interior design team to develop standards for furniture and finishes.
