Mevius USA and Aurora Casket Company Sign Industrial Leases Negotoated by JRT Realty Group in Southern California
Warehouse Space Deals Exceed 31,000 SF
CHINO and CARSON, CALIF., Oct. 30, 2008 - Aurora Casket Company, Inc. and Mevius USA have signed separate lease agreements totaling 31,265 square feet at two prominent industrial sites in southern California, announced JRT Realty Group. JRT, along with its strategic alliance partner Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., serves as exclusive leasing agent for the Chino and Carson properties, on behalf of TIAA-CREF.
Aurora Casket signed a five-year renewal for 14,838 square feet of warehouse space at 114455 Ramona Ave. in Chino, Calif.A family business established in 1890, Aurora Casket is the largest privately owned casket manufacturer in the country. Currently, the 36,724-square-foot San Bernardino County industrial property is 90 percent occupied.
At a second industrial site, located at 17246 S. Main St. in Carson, Calif., Mevius USA signed a new five-year lease for 16,427 square feet. The 108,042-square-foot Centerpointe/Valley View property is centrally located within Carson's manufacturing-based economy and is almost fully occupied.Mevius is a Japanese importer and exporter of used cars.
"The Chino property provides congestion-free access to key logistics centers, such as Ontario International Airport, several cross-dock trucking hubs and the BNSF intermodal rail yard. The 60, 71 and 91 freeways also are in close proximity," said Greg Smith, JRT's executive vice president. "Similarly, the Carson location is just a few miles from downtown Los Angeles and the harbor. Both are very prominent warehouse and transportation hubs offering tenants the convenience of high-profile locations."
Smith, along with Jodi Pulice, founder and president, is part of the brokerage team that includes Cushman & Wakefield's Rich Grande, Mark Lombardo, John McMillan and Jeff Sanita of the Ontario and Los Angeles branch offices.
