Ortho Mattress Signs for Full Building at TIAA-CREF's Valley View Business Park

LA MIRADA, CALIF., July 24, 2008- Ortho Mattress has signed a new 97,000-square-foot, full-building industrial lease at 15300 Valley View Ave. in La Mirada, announced JRT Realty Group, Inc. JRT, along with its strategic alliance partner Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., serves as the exclusive leasing agent for TIAA-CREF's three-building Valley View Business Park.
Founded in 1957, Ortho Mattress manufactures and distributes bedding products to southern California and select Midwestern cities. This includes national mattress brands as well as its proprietary line of Dr. Preferred products and Ortho+Tempered memory foam mattresses.
The Ortho Mattress operation at 15300 Valley View Ave. represents an expansion for the company. The facility houses its main warehouse and also includes a showroom and manufacturing space. It offers significant street frontage, 10 dock high positions and 2,000 amps of distributed power.
Valley View Business Center, which sits in the heart of Los Angeles County, offers immediate access to Freeways 5, 91 and 605. "This campus is recognized as a premier distribution location, offering easy movement of goods along the Pacific Coast and proximity to southern California's port system including both the Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Long Beach," noted Greg Smith, JRT's executive vice president, who along with JRT's Jodi Pulice, founder and president, leads the brokerage team that includes Cushman & Wakefield's Rich Grande, Mark Lombardo, John McMillan and Jeff Sanita.
